Susan Bluck

Introduction:     Susan Bluck is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida. She received her PhD in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine in 1997 and from 1997 to 2000 was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin. Her interests include autobiographical memory, reminiscence, and the life story. She is also interested in the nature and development of wisdom. A current Development of Wisdom project seeks to gain a better understanding of what wisdom is and how one develops it by analyzing data from participants who responded to a questionnaire in a magazine. Her collaborator in this project is Dr. Judith Glück who was also her collaborator in a chapter entitled "From the Inside Out: People's Implicit Theories of Wisdom" in the 2005 book Edited by Robert J. Sternberg, A Handbook of Wisdom.
